Andrew WilliamHODGSON"Andy" of Swaffham Prior Passed away suddenly on Thursday 19th August 2021, aged 69 years. Much loved husband to Janet, a very dear father to Duncan, and a much loved brother to John, Mary and Jacqueline. Funeral service to be held at St Mary's Church, Swaffham Prior, on Thursday 2nd September at 12:30pm. Flowers may be sent, or donations made payable to "The Dog's Trust" to Southgate of Newmarket, 25 Duchess Drive, Newmarket, Suffolk, CB8 8AG.

I was very sad to belatedly hear this news and also sad I wasn't able to pay my respects at Andy's funeral. I have very fond memories of Andy via the Fire and Rescue service both as a young son of a firefighter and eventually as a fellow firefighter. I always admired Andy and often smile at the great banter between us. He would call me "Pike" and I would call him "Napoleon"! Although this tribute is a little late now, my thoughts are with Janet and Duncan and I wish them both well. Rest well Andy.
